Growth Marketing Manager

The Virtual Society Foundation's (the “Foundation”) purpose is to foster a new digital economy focused around the Metaverse. 

The “metaverse” is best defined as a network of meaningful worlds, objects, identities and experiences that build on each other and the real world in ways that create economic value or provide fulfilling experiences. This network will unleash innovative businesses offering sophisticated digital assets, creating new jobs and expanding human opportunity.

However, all this potential remains largely unrealized due to technical, experiential, and accessibility challenges. In addition, the absence of a functioning technological and economic system that allows builders and creators to support one another's work means we are stuck with either very open and decentralized but non-functional metaverse frameworks that major companies can’t use or popular but fundamentally closed UGC gaming platforms with limited freedom to build major businesses on top of them. A fully realized practical metaverse ecosystem is a network of many actors, all with their own needs and interests, all of whom have to be able to credibly build real businesses.

Your Mission

Somnia, a key initiative of the Virtual Society Foundation, is seeking a seasoned Growth Marketing Manager to join our forward-thinking team. Your role will be pivotal in driving user growth through innovative marketing strategies that focus on acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement campaigns that resonate with our community and attract new users. Success in this role will hinge on your ability to leverage key influencers (KOLs) and optimise multiple channels to maximise reach and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth Initiatives:

●       Develop, execute, and continuously refine growth-focused campaigns to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention across multiple platforms.

●       Demonstrate a deep understanding of market-specific strategies required to stimulate community growth in diverse global markets.

●       Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, content, and design, to ensure growth strategies are aligned with overall business objectives and brand vision.

Influencer Relationship Management:

●       Cultivate, manage, and expand relationships with key influencers within the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and broader technology communities.

●       Work closely with influencers to amplify Somnia’s message, increase brand visibility, and drive measurable growth in user engagement.

Community Activations:

●       Partner with the Community Lead to develop and manage quest campaigns on various platforms, such as QuestN, Intract, and Galxe, driving deep community engagement.

●       Develop and implement localised community strategies and campaigns that can be scaled to drive growth in specific regions.

Innovation:

●       Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in NFTs, the Metaverse, SocialFi, gaming, and digital marketing.

●       Continuously introduce and implement innovative marketing strategies and tactics to attract new audiences, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies.

Data-Driven Marketing:

●       Utilise data analytics to inform marketing decisions, optimising campaigns based on performance metrics and user insights.

●       Provide regular reporting on campaign performance, offering actionable insights for ongoing optimisation and future strategies.

Qualifications:

●       A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in growth marketing or related roles, with a demonstrated ability to drive significant user growth.

●       Proven success in managing relationships with key influencers and executing effective multi-channel marketing campaigns.

●       Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

●       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

●       Experience in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, or gaming sectors is highly desirable.

Logistics

Salary Range: USD$50,000 - $60,000

Additional token compensation will be provided

The foundation will cover the expenses related to the event and travel.

Role Location

The company itself is a remote-first business, so you will have the flexibility to work in other locations throughout the globe.

Reporting Lines

This role will report directly to the head of growth.
