Senior Backend Engineer - Golang + Typescript

We’re helping the home valuation and appraisal industry work more efficiently to value a $40 trillion asset class and bring equity and transparency to the US housing market. We’re funded by Initialized Capital and seeing good traction and revenue growth. Our team is growing and we are looking for a strong backend engineer who is capable of working in the front end when needed.

What you’ll do:

You’ll work on a modern React/Typescript and Golang stack and build workflow automation products for our core user base of home appraisal professionals.

You’ll be encouraged to work on the entire application and not restrict yourself to a specific part of the stack. HomeVision engineers work on entire products— everything from releasing a valuation model to building frontend data visualizations that help communicate results in a human, intuitive way to our users and customers.

What you’ll bring:

Strong experience in backend developmentInterest and ability in working on the front end when neededProven working experience in Unix/Linux environments and on distributed systems

Ability to learn and master new programming languages and technologies Desire to deliver solutions quickly through an iterative and pragmatic approach

Bonus points:

Experience in one or more of the following technologies: Go, Python, React/Typescript, Elasticsearch, and Docker.

Experience in scientific and numerical computing (e.g., numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, tensorflow, pytorch, jupyter) considered a plus.
