PR Manager, Pakistan

We are looking for an experienced and highly proactive PR Manager, Pakistan to lead our public relations and communications activities in the Pakistan market.

Pakistan will be the primary market responsibility and core focus of the role. The PR Manager will be responsible for strengthening Binance’s reputation, visibility and positioning in Pakistan through strategic media relations, corporate communications, thought leadership, proactive storytelling and crisis communications.

The ideal candidate will have an established network across Pakistan’s media landscape, a strong understanding of the local business, technology and financial ecosystem, and the ability to independently manage communications projects from strategy through execution.

Alongside this core Pakistan remit, the PR Manager will be an active member of the wider MENA Communications team and will support the MENA Communications Lead on regional campaigns, announcements, media engagement, events and executive communications. The role therefore requires not only deep expertise in Pakistan, but also a strong understanding of the broader MENA media, business and communications landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the PR and communications strategy for Pakistan in alignment with regional and global business priorities.

• Identify proactive storytelling opportunities that strengthen Binance’s  reputation, visibility and positioning within the Pakistan market.

• Develop communications plans for product launches, campaigns, partnerships, corporate announcements and other key business initiatives.

• Manage communications projects independently from planning through execution, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, approvals, distribution and reporting.

• Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with key journalists, editors, broadcasters and media stakeholders across Pakistan.

• Maintain a strong network across business, finance, technology, fintech, crypto, mainstream and relevant industry media.

• Draft and review press releases, media statements, talking points, Q&As, briefing documents, executive messaging, opinion pieces and other communications materials.

• Work closely with Pakistan leadership, Marketing, Business and other functions to ensure communications priorities are aligned.

• Manage communications agencies and external partners where applicable, including briefing, deliverables, performance and reporting.

• Support selected regional PR and communications initiatives - including but not limited to drafting press materials / regional event support / exec profiling / media outreach / stakeholder management (agency/media partnerships). 

• Collaborate with Communications colleagues across MENA and other regions  on campaigns, announcements and media opportunities.

• Build relationships with relevant regional media alongside the wider Communications team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations or a related communications role.

• Strong professional network and established relationships with journalists and media organisations in Pakistan.

• Demonstrated experience developing and executing PR strategies and communications campaigns independently.

• Strong understanding of Pakistan’s media landscape, including business, financial, technology and mainstream media.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu. Arabic language capabilities are highly advantageous.

• Strong writing and editing capabilities, with experience developing press releases, statements, talking points, executive briefs and other communications materials.

• Experience managing senior executive media engagements and preparing executives for interviews.

• Experience handling crisis situations.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under tight deadlines.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across multiple functions, cultures and seniority levels.

• Highly proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership of projects with limited supervision.

• Strong judgement and the ability to navigate complex or sensitive communications situations.

• Previous communications experience within technology, fintech, financial services, digital assets, payments or another fast-moving regulated industry.

• Experience working within a multinational or international organisation.

• Previous communications responsibility across markets outside Pakistan, particularly within MENA or the wider Middle East.

• Experience contributing to multi-market communications programmes.

• Established relationships with regional or pan-MENA business, technology, financial or mainstream media.

• Bilingual English/Arabic is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.
