Senior Accountant

Established in 2015 and headquartered in the UAE, BitOasis is MENA’s largest crypto platform. The company recently announced the completion of a USD $30m Series B financing, the largest to date of any crypto platform in the region, from a combination of leading global and regional investors including WAMDA, Jump Capital, Alameda Research, and Pantera Capital. Earlier in 2021, BitOasis announced that it had crossed over USD $3bn in trade executed on its platform since inception with half of that volume being originated in 2021 alone.We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role will handle responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

• Receiving and checking all payable invoices and timely posting them in the accounting system in the respective entities
• Booking payment entries for all payable invoices
• Petty cash accounting and reconciliation
• Accounting of employee expense re-imbursements
• Fixed Assets accounting
• Booking of corporate credit card expenses
• Provide payables related audit information requests and any other ad-hoc requests which may be made from time to time.

• Intercompany reconciliation
• Payables sub-ledger reconciliation with GL
• Preparation and maintenance of accruals, prepayment and other payroll related supporting schedules linking to the Balance Sheet
• Extraction of data and support in preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Assist in monthly reporting pack
• Bank reconciliations
• Maintenance of fixed assets register and reconcile monthly movements along with depreciation scheduleOther Areas: 1. Supporting in providing data, information, and reports for annual audits 2. Assisting in reviewing monthly crypto movement file and crypto accounting entries along with intercompany accounting 3. Assisting in vendor setup and other banking related matters as a part of payables process 4. Assist in provision, migration, and confirmation of data from the legacy system to Business Central 5. Preparation of schedules as required for VAT reporting

• Qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA/CMA)
• 7+ years of accounting, generation of FS and reporting
• 5+ years of experience in ERP accounting systems
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Fintech accounting experience preferred
