Senior Software Developer (Tech lead)

Bookmap is a market depth visualisation and high-speed trading platform, providing complete market transparency and incomparable insight into the actions and intentions of equities, futures, and crypto traders.

Built to help traders make informed decisions, gain competitive advantage, and ensure consistent success, it has become the industry-leading software for order book and order flow analysis.

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Software Developer to lead our Connectivity Team.

This role is 100% remote

The team’s mission is to maintain and develop integrations with financial exchanges (this could be an exchange directly, other times brokers and market data vendors).

Required skills and experience

• BA or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other relevant field.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Excellent Java skills, and experience with one lower-level language (Rust, C, C++, etc.)
• Experience with and knowledge of Linux
• Networking knowledge
• Docker, Docker Compose knowledge

The below would be considered an advantage

• Experience in a data-distribution related service (market data, video streaming, content delivery, gaming)
• Experience leading a team of developers
• Python
• Kotlin
• Knowledge of Ukrainian/Russian
