Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Solana DeFi Backend Developer to architect, build, and optimize advanced financial primitives on Solana. This is a hands-on, senior-level position where you’ll own the design and implementation of Solana smart contracts and collaborate across engineering, product, and design to build performant, secure DeFi protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop smart contracts on Solana using Rust and Anchor
- Design and implement DeFi primitives: AMMs, staking, yield optimizers, lending protocols
- Optimize on-chain programs for performance, composability, and minimal fees
- Conduct peer code reviews and support audits to maintain high security standards
- Collaborate with frontend and design teams for seamless integration
- Stay updated on latest trends and tooling in the Solana DeFi ecosystem
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years on Solana
- Strong command of Rust and the Anchor framework
- Deep understanding of Solana’s architecture (accounts, PDAs, CPIs, token program)
- Proven experience building and shipping live DeFi protocols on Solana
- Strong grasp of DeFi mechanics: liquidity pools, tokenomics, staking, lending, farming
- Experience with security best practices in smart contract development
Nice-to-Haves:
- Contributions to open-source Solana DeFi protocols
- Experience with cross-chain protocols or interoperability frameworks
- Familiarity with trading automation, MEV strategies, or on-chain analytics
- Exposure to other ecosystems like Ethereum, Sui, Cosmos
