Technical Writer - Blockchain

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will create and maintain technical documentation related to the substrate-based Golden Gate blockchain ecosystem. You will be responsible for documenting the blockchain's features, functionalities, and technical aspects, using GitBook. All documentation is FOSS and will be committed to a GitHub repository. The ideal candidate should know markdown, metamask, and other browser-based wallets. They should be willing to install and run blockchain software at the command line, compile and deploy smart contracts and document their steps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical documentation for the Golden Gate blockchain ecosystem.
• Work closely with developers to ensure that technical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Use GitBook to manage documentation and ensure all documentation is committed to the GitHub repository.
• Write clear and concise documentation for users, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain templates and style guides for technical documentation.
• Test and verify the accuracy of technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure documentation accurately reflects the functionality of the blockchain.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure documentation aligns with overall company strategy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the blockchain space.
• Familiarity with markdown, GitBook, and GitHub.
• Experience working with metamask and other browser-based wallets.
• Willingness to install and run blockchain software at the command line, compile and deploy smart contracts, and document the process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and concepts would be a plus.
