TECHINASIA Awards 2026

Paradex is a high-performance decentralized exchange incubated by Paradigm.co-crypto’s largest institutional liquidity network, handling up to 40% of global crypto options volume with over $1 Trillion in total venue volume traded.

Our parent company, Paradigm, is backed by a $400M Series A valuation from top-tier investors. Leveraging this institutional foundation, we build core trading infrastructure for Paradex with zero legacy constraints and a relentless focus on clean, maintainable architecture. Since launch, Paradex has facilitated $220+ billion in cumulative trading volume and holds over $100 million in Total Value Locked across 250+ markets.

We are actively expanding our options platform and looking for a Quantitative Developer to design, architect, and build our Options Pricing Infrastructure from the ground up.

How We Work:

We have no product managers, no middle management, and no 1:1s. No bullshit. Just clean, low-latency code. You’ll work directly with our leadership and an elite team of builders in the trenches every day, owning your domain end-to-end.

Fair Warning: This is an intense, high-bar environment. We will push you hard, but you’ll grow faster than anywhere else and do some of the most meaningful, high-impact work of your career on the frontlines of DeFi ⚔️

Your Mission

As a Quantitative Developer, you will be a primary architect of the pricing and market data infrastructure that powers Paradex. You won't just be maintaining a platform; you will be solving one of the hardest problems in crypto derivatives: building high-fidelity, low-latency pricing, risk, and quoting systems that operate reliably across 250+ markets at production scale.

You will bridge the gap between rigorous financial engineering and the high-performance backend systems required to deliver it.

What You’ll Do

• Market Data Systems: Build and maintain the data infrastructure that supports pricing, risk, and research, including real-time tick capture, cross-venue normalization, historical storage, and low-latency replay for backtesting.
• Pricing Infrastructure: Design and implement pricing models for derivatives. Ensure correctness, low latency, and observability.
• Trading Algorithms: Contribute to the development, improvement and monitoring of the strategies underpinning the protocol vault
• Risk and Analytics Backend: Implement services that monitor risk in real time across the platform.
• Research-to-Production Pipeline: Transition models from research environments into production services capable of handling live order flow. Apply rigorous backtesting, controlled deployment, and ongoing monitoring.

What You Bring

• Backend Engineering: Strong production experience building low-latency, high-throughput backend services, with demonstrated ability to operate and debug them under load.
• Data Infrastructure: Experience with time-series databases, message buses (such as Kafka, Redpanda, or NATS), and the operational realities of high-volume market data.
• Trading Systems: Prior experience working on or alongside production trading systems at an exchange, proprietary trading firm, market maker, HFT firm, or comparable crypto-native venue.
• Options Experience (preferred): Knowledge or direct experience with options pricing, volatility surface construction or options market making.
• Ownership: Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for a domain end to end, with limited specification or supervision.

Your Perks & Benefits

• Competitive Pay: Top-tier compensation in the industry.
• Generous PTO: Unlimited vacation.
• Full Benefits: Comprehensive packages tailored by country.
• No manager 1:1s and no bullshit meetings.
