As we move toward public beta, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer with deep experience in DeFi and DEX infrastructure to help scale and secure our core systems.

Role Summary
You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing backend systems that power the platform — from low-latency order matching to real-time market data pipelines. You'll work closely with product leads, smart contract engineers, and frontend devs to ensure seamless, secure interactions across the stack.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance backend services for trading, settlement, and market creation
- Develop scalable APIs (REST/GraphQL) for frontend consumption
- Integrate and monitor smart contract interactions, including order lifecycle management
- Build data ingestion and indexing pipelines from on-chain and off-chain sources
- Maintain backend reliability with proper observability, logging, and error handling
- Optimize backend logic for latency, throughput, and uptime
- Collaborate with the broader team on product and feature iterations

Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 in Web3 or DeFi
- Strong proficiency in Node.js (or similar backend frameworks)
- Experience building and maintaining GraphQL and REST APIs
- Deep understanding of EVM-based smart contract interaction, wallet connectivity, and event decoding
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queue systems (e.g., Kafka or RabbitMQ)
- Familiarity with DeFi mechanics: liquidity pools, swaps, order books, slippage, etc.
- Solid grasp of backend security, rate-limiting, and access control in Web3 contexts

- Knowledge of indexing services like The Graph or custom indexers
- Exposure to off-chain oracles, MEV mitigation, or cross-chain communication
