Who You Are:

This role is an amazing entry point into HR with exposure to recruitment, talent strategy, and executive-level operations. You’ll gain hands-on experience, work closely with a supportive team, and be part of a company that values its people. We’re looking for a People Team Coordinator who is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to play a key role in building a world-class team.  In this role, you’ll be the backbone of our recruitment efforts—helping to create an exceptional candidate experience and ensuring a smooth hiring process for both candidates and hiring managers. You’ll also provide high-level administrative support to our CPO, giving you firsthand exposure to strategic HR operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Recruiting & Hiring Support
  • Own the candidate experience—schedule and coordinate interviews across teams, keep candidates informed, and ensure a seamless process
  • Host in-person interviews in our New York office, ensuring candidates feel welcome and prepared
  • Maintain our Applicant Tracking System in Greenhouse, posting job openings, tracking applicants, and keeping everything organized
  • Collaborate with recruiters on screening and assessments to attract top talent
  • Assist with background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline hiring processes
• Support for the Chief People Officer (CPO)
  • Manage the CPO’s calendar—schedule meetings, prioritize appointments, and keep everything running smoothly
  • Handle confidential correspondence and manage important HR documents
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives related to company culture, talent development, and HR strategy

What We’re Looking For:

• A motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow in HR
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 1+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support (internships count!)
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills—you’ll be working with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
• Ability to multitask and stay on top of deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Experience with Greenhouse or another ATS is a plus

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.
