We are looking for a talented CTO with a proven public track record specifically for Compound Finance protocol. 

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership
2. Define and implement Compound's technological vision and roadmap along with Compound community members. 
3. Collaborate with the leadership team to align technology with business goals and the company’s commitment to decentralization.  
4. Communicate your vision to the community in written and verbal form.
5. Advocate for community-driven development and open-source initiatives.
6. Technical Expertise
7. Oversee the development and deployment of scalable, secure smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).  
8. Ensure seamless integration of third-party community-built interfaces with the Compound protocol.
9. Stay ahead of emerging trends in DeFi, blockchain, and Web3 technologies to drive innovation.  
10. Team Development
11. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team.  
12. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.  
13. Oversee talent acquisition for the engineering and technical teams.  
14. Security & Compliance
15. Implement best practices for blockchain and smart contract security.  
16. Collaborate with security teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.  
17. Uphold transparency and ensure adherence to DeFi regulatory guidelines.  

Requirements  

1. Proven experience as a CTO or similar technical leadership role, preferably in the blockchain, DeFi, or Web3 space.  
2. Experience with different Money Market protocols, such as Compound V2, Compound V3, AAVE V2, and AAVE V3.
3. Experience in building structured products, such as hedging. 
4. Experience in working with AMM protocols, such as Uniswap V2, V3, V4. 
5. Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts (Solidity preferred), and decentralized application development.  
6. Proficiency in programming languages such as Solidity.  
7. Familiarity with Ethereum-based protocols and Layer-2 scaling solutions.  
8. Strong track record in driving product innovation and community collaboration.  
9. Experience navigating the challenges of decentralized governance and community contributions.  
10. Passion for decentralization and empowering communities.  
11. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and contributors.  

Nice-to-Haves

1. Prior experience in open-source project leadership.  
2. Background in cryptographic systems or tokenomics.
3. Exposure to UI/UX challenges in building community-driven platforms.  
4. You were a member / CTO of a popular blockchain project.
5. Experience in working with Aerodrome / Velodrome.
6. Node.js experience
