DevOps Engineer - Golden Gate Blockchain

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team at the Golden Gate blockchain. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and stress testing entire blockchains, dry-run testing upgrades, and running validator nodes. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with automated deployment in a cloud environment using tools like Terraform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the infrastructure required for running the Golden Gate blockchain ecosystem.
• Deploy and stress test entire blockchains in a cloud environment.
• Dry-run test upgrades to ensure they run smoothly when deployed to the live environment.
• Work with the development team to ensure that deployments are automated, and the process is smooth and reliable.
• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot issues on live deployments and validator nodes.
• Configure and manage the cloud environment for maximum efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure that the blockchain system is highly available and fault-tolerant.
• Participate in code reviews and work closely with the development team to understand the infrastructure requirements.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the blockchain and the infrastructure it runs on.
• Develop and maintain documentation for the deployment and configuration processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, preferably in the blockchain space.
• Familiarity with cloud-based deployment and automation using tools like Terraform.
• Experience deploying and running validator nodes.
• Experience in stress testing and dry-run testing upgrades.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and concepts.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Perl).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
