Engineering Leader, Crypto-Asset Management System

Circle’s crypto-treasury function delivers seamless liquidity on demand to the suite of Circle products. The management of our, and our customers’ digital assets, requires deep integration with our product, engineering, finance, and trading teams. We are building global products that connect fiat and digital assets, tokens, and currencies; we are developing treasury capabilities like the world has never seen. You will work closely with our product and business leads across the Circle family of products: Invest, Pay, Trade, and Poloniex to understand their needs, and then collaborate on projections to ensure optimal crypto liquidity. You will be an instrumental driver of processes and help guide the automation of your work by teaming with our treasury and infrastructure engineering teams.

As Technical Lead you will work as both an architect and development manager to create an industry leading crypto-asset management system. You will interface with our core engineering team and internal product owners to build a management layer over our existing storage system. Ultimately you will build out a world class cold and warm transaction signing system supporting new storage strategies and asset types.

What you'll work on:

• Digital Asset Management System supporting multiple entities
• Complex ruleset engine for roles, auditing and self balancing
• State of the art cold storage system supporting ECDSA threshold signatures and staking
• Warm storage system with multi-level safeguards
• Auditing and reporting systems for all assets under management

What you'll bring to Circle:

• Track record of production level Java code in a live environment a big plus
• Strong background in cryptography and cryptocurrencies
• Direct Blockchain experience with deep understanding of blockchain technologies a big plus
• Architecture, design and implementation of cold key storage and related secure transaction signing service
• Cloud infrastructure experience using AWS
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Thorough understanding of security and disaster recovery best practices
• Ability to collaboratively work in a fast paced, scrum oriented engineering environment
