Engineering Manager (SG)

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on leader with strong technical ability to join us as our Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of developers and engineers in building scalable and extendable infrastructures tailoring to DeFi analytics. The ideal candidate would have prior experience with cloud native platforms and building backend database designs. You will help us achieve team efficiency and a culture of excellence, and contribute directly towards building analytics at scale. 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design analytics systems with large-scaled databases, microservices, and distributed computing technologies

• Set strong technical/architectural foundations, implementing good design practices, behaviours and principles in software development

• Review technical requirement documentation (TRD), infrastructure design and draft proposals to develop and deploy scalable technologies.

• Lead and organise engineering projects, ensuring resource optimization

• Drive department planning, including setting of department goals and OKRs

• Plan, manage and execute technical project plans to ensure on-time delivery

• Coordinate with product managers, software architects, and other engineering teams in determining overall system solutions

Skills & Requirements

• Proficiency with Golang, and SQL/no-SQL

• Strong knowledge of Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Database & Distributed systems and basic Cryptography

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture

• 3+ years experience in leadership/management roles

• Experience with cloud based distributed databases and streaming processes

• Hands-on infrastructure development experience in large-scaled systems

• Deep knowledge in data-intensive application and DBMS technologies 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
