Don’t underestimate them.☝ Developers come first - We are building for devs. Put them first, always!📝 Learners for life - Leave your ego outside, learn whenever you can.🤝 Collaborate to win - If you want to go far, collaborate and go with a team.<strong>The Role:</strong>As a Finance & Accounting Specialist supporting our US parent company and Singapore subsidiary, you will oversee end-to-end financial operations, maintain compliance with local and international standards, manage tax obligations, and collaborate with external agencies (e.g., outsourced accounting firms) to ensure smooth operations. We need a detail-oriented professional who can maintain accurate records, streamline processes, and guide strategic financial decisions.<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and reconciliations</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements</li><li>Ensure compliance with Singapore and US accounting standards (SFRS, US GAAP)</li><li>File Singapore taxes (GST, corporate tax) and assist with US tax matters</li><li>Work with outsourced accounting and compliance agencies in both the US and Singapore to handle specialized tasks and remain compliant</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and maintain internal controls</li><li>Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support informed decision-making</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings</li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/ACCA preferred)</li><li>At least three years of relevant experience in accounting or finance</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and strong Excel skills</li><li>Familiarity with US GAAP and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment</li></ul><strong>Perks</strong>At Metaschool, you'll have exposure to all aspects of building a company.
