Head of Engineering, Crypto Exchange

Role Overview

The team has responsibility for building products and tools for global business growth, helping more users around the world embrace encrypted assets. Support platform business to achieve rapid growth in more regions. You will own the strategic direction for the team, establishing best practices and scaling along the way. At your core, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust plans on the fly. You must also have strong prioritization skills and a willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done. You need to enjoy the opportunity of working with a diverse and distributed team. 

• Build a world-class team of Software Engineers.
• Design and implementation of high-performance and scalable services for growth products.
• Ride on the momentum of a greenfield project and brand-new team with one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the world.
• Analyse key pain points of business and systems and provide solutions to solve them.
• Work closely with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to drive rapid innovation in cross-functional teams.
• Develop team goals and performance appraisals, and establish good cooperation with global technical teams
• Build good team echelons and help team members grow.

• 6+ year’s experience in Microservice/API development with Java/SpringBoot/SpringCloud
• 3+ years of engineering management experience
• Extensive experience cultivating high-performing, lean, and agile engineering teams
• Proficiency in multi-threading and distributed architecture
• In-depth understanding of mainstream messaging frameworks including Kafka, Tibco, Informatica UM, etc
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Feel right at home under a cloud-based Linux environment
• Scrum master - advocate for automated testing and continuous integration
• Experience working with teams across offices and timezones
• Proficient in Mandarin and English to liaise with internal stakeholders
