As Lead Engineer and first technical hire, you'll be instrumental in shaping both the technology and the team. Working closely with the CPTO, you’ll use your full-stack JavaScript expertise and blockchain knowledge to build a secure, scalable platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into the CTO position as their company expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Architect and implement our core platform using the latest blockchain technologies.
- Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Code Quality: Ensure high standards through rigorous code reviews and best practices.
- Decision Making: Lead technical discussions and make crucial decisions shaping our products’ direction.
- Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain front-end (React) and back-end (Node.js/Solidity) components.
- Smart Contract Development: Design, develop, and deploy secure, audited smart contracts.
- Blockchain Integration: Integrate various blockchain protocols and technologies into our platform.
- Testing & Deployment: Thoroughly test and deploy new features and updates.
- Security: Prioritize security throughout development to protect user funds and data.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years as a full-stack JavaScript developer with a strong focus on React.
- Blockchain Expertise: 2+ years developing dApps and smart contracts using Solidity.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React, Node.js, Solidity, Web3.js
- Strong understanding of blockchain concepts and protocols (e.g., Ethereum, DeFi)
- Experience with smart contract development and deployment
- Familiarity with blockchain security best practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
