Responsibilities
- Responsible for the globalization of the instant messaging (IM) product across both app and web portal, and for developing product strategies aligned with business goals.
- Create and maintain the IM product roadmap, milestones, and backlog, aligning with strategic priorities for product penetration in various overseas markets.
- Drive global product and feature launches; lead beta programs by defining product specifications and collaborating with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Collect and consolidate customer feedback and facilitate user studies to build products that reflect customers’ needs and requirements.
- Conduct market research and analyze regional data, working closely with overseas and local operations teams to deliver market-fit solutions.
- Facilitate communication with cross-functional teams overseas to coordinate project progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience in launching and managing large-scale, global instant messaging (IM) products, with a strong track record of successful outcomes.
- 5+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated technical expertise.
- Skilled in identifying customer needs, running prototypes and iterations, and making data-driven decisions to optimize products.
- Solid understanding of IM products and user scenarios, with the ability to drive product improvements and growth across the company.
- Strong ability to define clear, concise product requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering teams to deliver on specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to ensure on-time delivery and execution.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to drive product adoption and market success.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is required to effectively coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders. Nice to Have:
- Experience working on IM products at an international company.
- Familiarity with IM scenarios such as communities, group chats, or trading environments.
