Publicist & Account Manager (Tech/Crypto)

XWECAN is searching for an experienced and highly effective PR professional with a track record of outstanding PR performance and expert-level client management in the tech/crypto industries.  Past experience in journalism is a huge bonus. 

This position is responsible for generating new opportunities for our clients by employing effective media strategies, writing compelling pitches, and flawlessly coordinating new opportunities. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all contractual obligations are met (or exceeded), that client communications are consistent, professional and timely, and that a high level of quality strategy is maintained, that records and platforms are actively maintained and well organized. 

Proactive and professional communication is a must in this role, which includes the maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders, journalists and their teams. This position is the relationship owner, and as such, this position has responsibility for client satisfaction and campaign outcomes.

This position is best suited for individuals with a strong, verifiably successful PR background, who have good relationships within the media world, are passionate about the success of their clients and the agency they work for, possess a strong sense of ownership and have a collaborative and steady approach to working with others.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Manage and Track Leads, execute new opportunities, nurture pipeline
• Write expert-level pitches and press releases
• Flawlessly coordinate with clients and publications to execute new opportunities
• Maintain detailed knowledge and records of account activities
• Identify action items and ensure they’ve been tasked appropriately in Asana with a clear assignee and deadline
• Monitor task progress in Asana and follow up internally as needed
• Actively inform clients of new opportunities and see through to final decisions
• Provide sound strategic guidance to clients
• Actively monitor Slack, Whatsapp, Telegram and Discord, ensuring all messages are acknowledged and that action items are promptly moved into the Asana workflow
• Delegate tasks to Assistant Account Manager(s) as needed in order to meet all client and agency objectives
• Provide other support as requested by leadership

Weekly Responsibilities:

• Prepare and send weekly or bi-weekly status update emails to clients, as appropriate
• Attend all required team meetings, prepared to identity and discuss:
• Action Items
• Strategies or changes in strategies
• Missing Asana Tasks
• New opportunities
• Upcoming Activities 
• Ensure commitments are realistic and that workload is balanced so that all client commitments will be met

Monthly Responsibilities:

• Generate status reports for clients in portfolio by the 10th of each month, and oversee completion of performance reports.
• Deliver all performance and status reports for clients in portfolio
• Ensure original onboarding and strategy documents are evaluated for possible updates, and update as needed

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  A minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations with demonstrated success in tech/crypto is required. With your resume, please include a cover letter explaining your relevant experience.
