Senior QA Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to oversee our Quality Assurance team. You will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the company. This may include developing test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults, and reviewing QA reports.
To ensure success as a Senior QA Engineer you should have extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to project manage. A top-notch Senior QA Engineer ensures the smooth running of the QA department and ultimately customer satisfaction.
Senior QA Engineer Responsibilities:
- Own the testing strategy for existing and new products
- Leading the QA team in designing QA test procedures.
- Meeting with the software/product designers to determine quality assurance parameters.
- Participate in sprint planning sessions, daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.
- Work closely with product teams to ensure alignment
- Implementing testing procedures and overseeing the QA process.
- Understand various development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum, and software testing platforms or environments
- Implement automated testing processes to reduce workload and increase the efficiency and reliability of QA processes. Use industry or contractor-specific tools to track the progress of automation improvements
- Experience with Cucumber Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) framework
- Continuously analyze the testing strategy to maximize its effectiveness pragmatically
- Conducting analysis checks on product specifications.
- Perform software testing in all phases of the design-develop-test-release-maintain software life cycle
- Perform multiple types of black-box, white-box, and grey-box testing including functional, system, end to end, load testing, performance testing, data integrity, smoke, regression, and ad hoc testing
- Submit comprehensive defects using our bug tracking system
- Regress and verify defects as needed, record test results, and provide metrics
- Assist with UAT defect triage calls
- Overseeing the drafting of testing documents.
- Reviewing Quality Assurance reports.
- Document findings in automated tools and communicate effectively with project manager, software developers, end users, and others to record, track, and close outstanding issues and requirements
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and be self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and open communication in a collaborative team atmosphere is required
Senior QA Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Management or relevant field.
- Previous experience as a QA Engineer.
- Managerial experience preferred.
- High-level analytical skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinker.
- Detail oriented.
