QA Engineer (Freelance)

We are looking for a freelance QA Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will actively contribute QA insights within Scrum teams and help drive product delivery from discovery to launch.

This role is critical to the success of our product releases and requires hands-on experience with blockchain technologies, specifically those related to EVM-compatible chains across both Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases across a wide range of scenarios (both manual and automated).

• Ensure high product quality across multiple interfaces, including Web and APIs.

• Collaborate closely with QA Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners to identify testing needs and ensure coverage across all deliverables.

• Oversee the creation and execution of test strategies and plans for Scrum teams.

• Communicate testing status, risks, and issues effectively to both the team and management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a software testing role, focusing on Web and API testing.

• Strong knowledge of test management tools, QA methodologies, and Agile testing practices.

• Experience in the digital domain, preferably in fintech or blockchain, and familiarity with QA processes in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Hands-on experience with microservice-based architectures.

• Skilled in exploratory testing and behavior-driven development (BDD) approaches.

• Familiar with test automation frameworks/tools is a plus, including:

  • Playwright (JavaScript)

  • Selenium WebDriver (Java)

• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, autonomous environment (freelance experience is a strong plus).

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Knowledge or hands-on experience in testing dApps or Web3 applications is a plus.

• A self-motivated, detail-oriented, and disciplined individual who takes ownership of quality.
