Senior DevOps Engineer

HyroTrader is a crypto prop trading platform building next-generation infrastructure for scalable, transparent, and high-performance trading operations.

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to assess our current environment, design a more robust architecture, and take ownership of infrastructure operations long term.

What You’ll Work With

• Polyglot backend environment (Go + Rust) with modern JS frontend
• Event-driven architecture using CDC and streaming messaging
• Managed PostgreSQL infrastructure
• High-availability secrets management
• Containerized workloads running on a major cloud provider
• Real-time market and execution data from external trading venues

What You’ll Own

• Audit the current software and infrastructure stack
• Identify weak points and propose a target architecture
• Lead infrastructure rebuilds and migrations with minimal downtime
• Design and maintain:
• CI/CD pipelines
• Observability and monitoring
• Backup and disaster recovery systems
• On-call and incident response processes
• Security hardening:
• Network segmentation
• Secrets rotation
• Service-to-service authentication
• WAF and edge protection
• Capacity planning for bursty, market-driven traffic and workloads

Requirements

• 5+ years managing production infrastructure in:
• fintech
• trading systems
• low-latency environments
• Strong experience with:
• High-availability PostgreSQL
• Secrets management (e.g. Vault)
• Service mesh / API gateway tooling
• Container orchestration experience, with strong opinions on when Kubernetes is — and isn’t — the right solution
• Experience designing and shipping infrastructure end-to-end
• Professional English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Crypto exchange / API infrastructure experience
• Reading-level knowledge of Go or Rust
• Security background:
• threat modeling

• audits

Security Expectations

We operate with the mindset that real funds are always on the line. Infrastructure maturity and security awareness are non-negotiable requirements for this role.

Terms

• Long-term contractor role
• Fully remote
• Compensation starting from $100k+ / year DOE
