RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with a broad range of Web 3 matters.
- Provide legal guidance regarding matters related to commodities, securities, US policy, contracts, and corporate governance.
- Perform legal research on regulatory issues and remain up-to-date on developments in decentralized finance
- Assist the General Counsel in implementing, operating, and enhancing policies, processes and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- JD degree and active law license in good standing
- 4+ years of experience at a law firm and/or in-house
- Strong interest in cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance
- Experience with laws and regulations related to SEC, CFTC, FINCen
- Ability to take ownership of projects and make actionable recommendations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize matters
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness
- Attention to detail
- Excellent collaborator
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with legal regimes applicable to crypto
- Prior experience with technology companies
Salary range for this role is $160K to $275K (NY). Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentive.Â
