Senior UX/UI Designer - Developer Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX Designer who possesses a deep understanding of user research methodologies and UX design principles. We are in a highly innovative and fast moving area, ideal candidates should be able to own the end-to-end product experience by navigating through ambiguous problems, working with founders and various stakeholders, yet still be able to effectively push product implementation progress. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work at the frontier of blockchain technology, with the most innovative developers and push the progress of the entire Ethereum ecosystem. 

User Experience Requirements

• Work with founders and leaders from open-source communities to identify “the next big thing” for the ecosystem
• Plan, conduct, and analyze user research studies to uncover developer needs, behaviours, and pain points.
• Utilize various research techniques such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
• Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.

UX Design Requirements

• Develop user-centered design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that address user needs and align with business goals.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Conduct usability evaluations and iterate designs based on feedback and usability test results.
• Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure consistency across products.

Leadership and Collaboration Requirements

• Lead and mentor junior UX/UI designers, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for user-centered design practices and ensure the successful integration of UX design into the product development lifecycle.
• Work closely with founders and stakeholders to define and prioritize user experience goals and deliverables.
• Act as a subject matter expert on user research and UX design, staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) as a UX designer, with a proven track record of leading successful user research initiatives and delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including user research, usability testing, and interaction design.
• Proficiency in user research techniques and tools, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing software, and analytics platforms.
• Expertise in UX design software and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Axure, etc.).
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on UX design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and research findings to stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while paying attention to detail.
• Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of user-centered design projects, including examples of user research activities and UX design deliverables.
