Role Overview:

We are seeking a Software Engineer with deep expertise in designing and optimizing low-latency trading systems for crypto market-making. In this role, you will develop and maintain systems that interact with exchanges at sub-millisecond speeds, ensuring high throughput and minimal latency. You will collaborate closely with quants, traders, and clients to build robust, scalable solutions for real-time trading while also offering exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize low-latency trading systems for cryptocurrency market-making.
• Develop connectivity modules for multiple crypto exchanges using protocols like FIX, WebSocket, and REST APIs.
• Implement smart order routing, order matching, and risk management logic for market-making operations.
• Optimize trading system performance, including latency reduction, throughput maximization, and efficient resource usage.
• Develop real-time monitoring tools and dashboards to ensure system stability and performance.
• Engage directly with clients to address technical questions, explain trading strategies, and provide support regarding market-making operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in live trading environments, ensuring 24/7 uptime and high system reliability.
• Collaborate with quants and traders to refine trading strategies and tailor system requirements to client needs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand the functionality of our systems and strategies.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on low-latency, high-performance systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, or a low-level programming language like C++ or Rust.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and optimization techniques (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP).
• Proven experience building and maintaining trading systems, preferably for crypto or HFT.
• Familiarity with market data feeds, order book mechanics, and trading protocols.
• Understanding of multi-threaded programming, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of performance profiling and debugging tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical clients.
• Strong client-facing skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and offering exceptional support.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with crypto exchange APIs, including FIX and WebSocket.
• Knowledge of algorithmic trading strategies, especially market making.
• Familiarity with kernel bypass, or other hardware-accelerated low-latency solutions.
• Exposure to database technologies like Redis or Time-series DBs for high-speed data storage and retrieval.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
• Previous experience engaging with clients, explaining technical concepts, and providing solutions to their needs.
