Software Engineer Intern

We are among the first batch of virtual insurers authorized by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority to provide insurance products purely through online channels. We pride ourselves on providing breakthrough innovations in products and services via our digital platform. We are currently offering Pet, Fire, Critical Illness and Home Insurance and expected to provide wider coverage to the general public in the coming year.

Want to join us and make a change? We are looking for an Software Engineer Intern to help us with building up our internal chatbot.

What you will be doing:

• Design and build robust and scalable customer-facing applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and execute the new applications.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.
• Oversee the creation of marketing materials including managing graphic design projects to completion and acting as brand liaison to the organization to ensure consistent brand voice, vision, and aesthetic are achieved.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor degree in business / computer science or related field
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and pick up diverse technologies and techniques.
• Someone who gets excited by tough technical challenges, and is passionate about helping others.
• Proficient with one or more programming languages is a plus
• Experience with Natural Language Processing, NLTK, SciPy, NumPy is a plus
