Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Smart Contract Engineer who is deeply experienced in Solidity, EVM-compatible networks, and decentralized data or node-based protocols. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and deploying secure and scalable smart contracts that power our on-chain ecosystem.
You’ll collaborate closely with full-stack engineers, product managers, and protocol designers to bring new decentralized applications, protocol integrations, and on-chain logic to life. This role is ideal for someone who has built and deployed production-grade contracts, understands decentralized systems end-to-end, and can speak confidently about previous audit results, gas optimization strategies, and mainnet deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy secure, efficient, and upgradable smart contracts in Solidity
- Architect and implement protocol-level features for decentralized and data-centric systems
- Integrate smart contracts with node networks, decentralized oracles, and data layers
- Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to connect contracts using Web3.js, ethers.js, or wagmi
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and fuzz tests using Hardhat, Foundry, or similar frameworks
- Participate in internal reviews and support external audits for all smart contract code
- Monitor and optimize gas usage, security, and contract performance post-deployment
- Contribute to open-source repositories, developer tooling, and technical documentation
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing and deploying Solidity smart contracts
- Deep understanding of EVM internals, contract lifecycle management, and security best practices
- Proven experience with decentralized protocols, data infrastructure, or node-based systems
- Strong grasp of cryptographic primitives, state management, and transaction flows
- Experience integrating contracts with off-chain services via backend languages (Node.js, Go, or Python)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Web3 infrastructure
- Excellent async communication, documentation, and collaboration skills in distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on DeFi, staking, governance, or data protocols
- Hands-on experience with Layer 2 solutions, bridges, or cross-chain communication
- Background with validator / node operations, indexing, or on-chain data aggregation
- Involvement in protocol audits, security reviews, or bug bounty programs
- Contributions to open-source projects or a visible GitHub portfolio of smart contracts
