Strategic Finance

The Role:

This role is for the founding member of our Strategic Finance team. You will help us build out financial strategy, analytics, and process that allow us to manage the business through extreme growth. Your work will be focused on business analysis, forecasting, budgeting and strategic initiatives (e.g., M&A, process overhauls, etc.). This is a highly cross-functional role, where you will be working with all functional leaders regularly to ensure they are managing their functions appropriately. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, keen attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

• Own the company’s financial operating model and budgeting process, working with leaders of all functions to help them plan for successful outcomes
• Build and maintain others financial & operating models that enable business planning and strategic decision making at the highest levels
• Support leadership decision making with by applying business judgment and financial insights related to unit economics, margin levers, core business expansion, and new opportunities
• Conduct analyses to help us understand and improves key financial metrics (revenue, gross margin, contribution margin analysis, operating margin, etc.)
• Create materials that update the company, leadership, and investors on our business performance
• Build guardrails and milestones for financial and performance management and improve processes to prepare Alchemy for the next stages of growth
• Remain flexible and willing to wear multiple hats in support of high importance, ad hoc leadership requests

Who You Are:

• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity and/or in a finance role at a fast-paced startup
• Deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation methods, and key metrics used in Enterprise SaaS and Blockchain
• Agile self-starter with ability to move quickly and desire to own and be accountable for projects from Day 1
• Service-oriented attitude characterized by strong listening skills and the desire to achieve shared success
• Experience with BI tools and SQL are a plus (but not mandatory)
• BS / BA in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or a similar major
