Token Analyst

Blocmates is looking for a freelance Token Analyst. The ideal candidate is someone who is at the forefront of DeFi, can scout narrative change/ trends, and also understands and can plan for upcoming catalysts and events across tokens and networks to write actionable short-form reports with the blocmates signature tone.  

As part of the role, you would work with the Meal Deal team and collaborate with our Head of Research to present topics and deliver packaged reports promptly, staying ahead of the curve with any information or research presented to the Meal Deal audience.

Candidates should be:

1. Self-starters that require minimal oversight. They would be in charge of identifying interesting projects to document and package as actionable, entertaining information. 
2. Comfortable with using crypto applications and analysis tools. This is not for you if you aren’t in the weeds already.
3. Able to meet deadlines.
4. Able to explain their theses clearly and concisely while leaning into the “blocmates” voice of tongue-in-cheek degeneracy. 

Other responsibilities: 

• Be able to keep tabs within the Meal Deal community to tailor any reports from community suggestions and interest 
• Engage in conversations within the Discord with community members around any thesis or rationale behind the report and information

Expected output:

Responsible for producing short-form reports on individual projects and their tokens (<1000 words at 8-10 per month). These don’t need to be extensive. They must be succinct, have all the information needed, and show both bull and bear cases. They must also be comfortable presenting their conclusion, which should be backed by data.

Either:

• Tokenomics reports of trending and interesting tokens 
• Token generation event (TGE) assessments 
• Token sustainability reports 
• Token catalyst reports 
• In-flight future airdrop reports

These reports aim to provide succinct, actionable, and digestible content for our meal deal (premium) members. 

Including:

• The project and its purpose
• The token economics (its mechanics as well as supply/demand-drivers)
• How it fits into its ecosystem
• Bull/bear cases as well as your personal data-driven conclusion

Initially freelance/contract with the provision to move to full-time after a successful probationary/trial period.
