The business provides quantitative trading solutions in market making, trade execution, and settlement services on various cryptocurrency exchanges. The Trading Operations Manager will be an early member of a high-growth business in a high-growth industry, and will play a key role to shape and expand the operations function of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of real-time trading systems to ensure smooth performance & stability of core business operations.
- Work closely with trading and clearing stakeholders to manage various operations related to funding, new trading onboarding, settlements, reconciliations, reporting, etc.
- Manage various internal fund transfer operations across different platforms.
- Communicate with external party platforms when needed to facilitate operational workflows such as funding or settlements.
- Take the lead along with internal stakeholders to develop high-standard operational workflows to scale up efficiency & automations, and reduce operational risks.
- Work with the finance and compliance team as needed for trade reporting requirements, compliance related matters, and ensure strong internal controls.
- Have a strong analytical and data-driven mindset to drive trade performance improvements in relation to trading capital management and settlement operations.
- Work on various ad-hoc projects as required by the business in relation to trade operations.
Requirements:
- Strong education background in accounting, finance, engineering, or business analytics.
- 7+ years of relevant working experience in a financial institution, fintech, or e-payments industry. Ideally proven experience in trade operations within a quantitative trade desk.
- Operational leadership, strong quantitative skills, strategic thinker, and detail-oriented.
- Strong understanding of trading of various asset classes (FX preferred), and strong understanding of the trading/settlement lifecycle.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Python and SQL preferred, and data analytics platforms such as Datawind, Tableau, etc.
- Strong communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders across different cultures and geographies.Experience/interest in the crypto industry is a big plus.
