Senior QA Engineer (Big Data)

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing all stages from requirements analysis to test planning, execution, defect tracking, through to product release and maintenance.
• Work closely with team members (developers, product manager and all other partners) to design, develop, test and deliver high quality products.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured and effective test plans and test cases for applications including frontend, backend and data applications, and also for data platform and pipelines.
• Prevent, report, analyze and track issues in an effective and efficient mannerImprove test strategy to reduce manual test efforts. Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
• Stay ahead with the latest technology trends, persistently enhancing the team's testing process, methodologies, and efficiency

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of QA engineering experience, both manual and automation
• Big data middlewares (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Flink) and testing experiences is preferable 
• Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience in testing backend services such as APIs, Databases, distributed services
• Good programming ability, master at least one of Java, Python, JS and other programming languages
• Strong SQL testing, understanding different SQL statements
• Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skillsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development process 
• Good interpersonal, consultative and communication skills
• Self-managed, proactive work style, good commitment
• Knowledge in the blockchain or web3 domain is a plus
