Architect QA Engineer (Java, Middleware & Microservice)

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and comprehensive test cases and plans.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts as well as manual investigations to resolve backend user issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis of existing test script failures and product issues.
• Identify deficiencies in current test scripts and expand coverage through additional scripting.
• Perform investigatory testing of unreleased features, including defining requirements, expected behavior, and impact.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure product reliability and stability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of QA / Testing experience, preferably in backend or large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong experience in middleware and microservice governance testing, ideally with white-box testing exposure.
• Proficient in Java — able to write code from scratch (live coding assessments will be conducted).
• Strong SQL knowledge and hands-on coding ability.
• Experience designing comprehensive test case frameworks and automation design processes.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis, identify systemic issues, and propose effective fixes.
• Open-source project contributions are a plus.
• Management experience is a plus (mentoring, guiding, or leading a QA team).
• Recognized as a domain expert with broad technical understanding, capable of handling production issues effectively and efficiently.
• Smart, analytical, and adaptable, able to apply learnings across contexts and solve problems holistically.
