Who You Are:
We are seeking a talented Back-End Software Engineer with 1-5+ years of experience to join our global engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and supporting back-end services using languages such as Java (Spring Boot, Vert.x) or Python (Flask, FastAPI).
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable back-end systems to support Galaxy’s diverse business lines (e.g. Custody, Defi, Trading etc).
- Collaborate with globally distributed cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize and improve existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop and implement automated tests for our CI/CD pipeline to ensure quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1-5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on back-end development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python and/or other languages used for back-end development.
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Interest in Cryptocurrency and building the future.
- Fluent in English.Â
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in Traditional Finance or Cryptocurrency supporting trading, middle-office or back-office systems.
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with the full lifecycle development of a commercial system, including: requirements definition, agile planning, releasing, and production support
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture and event-driven design.
