Backend Engineer (Core)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our core services. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a traditional distributed backend architecture that powers our trading systems. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including Golang, C++, and Python, to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain a distributed backend architecture to support our trading systems.

- Build and optimize high-performance backend services using Golang, C++, and Python.

- Implement and improve APIs for data retrieval, processing, and storage.

- Work with databases and data stores to ensure efficient and reliable data management.

- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and visibility.

- Collaborate with frontend engineers and other stakeholders to design and integrate seamless end-to-end solutions.

- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance our backend architecture.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Familiar with Golang, C++, and Python, with strong skills in at least one

- Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles.

- Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

- Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.

- Familiarity with message queues, pub/sub systems, and event-driven architectures.

- Understanding of networking and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, gRPC).

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with financial systems or trading platforms.

- Familiarity with microservices architectures.

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Understanding of security and compliance standards in backend development.

- Prior experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems.

Compensation Range

- 150k-300k (base)
