Smart Contract Engineer

Remote | Full-Time 1099 Contractor | Async-First | Global

About Us

We’re a mission-driven Web3 organization building at the forefront of decentralized innovation. Our work spans smart contracts, decentralized protocols, node networks, and blockchain tooling that empowers real communities to build, work, and exchange value.

We’re fully remote, async-first, and made up of high-performing contractors around the world. We value autonomy, ownership, and clear communication — and we move fast.

The Role

We’re hiring a senior-level Smart Contract Engineer with deep NFT engineering experience to help us build and scale production Web3 systems.

This is not a generalist blockchain role — NFT experience is required. We’re specifically looking for someone who has shipped NFT smart contracts and NFT infrastructure into production, understands the full NFT lifecycle (minting → metadata → marketplaces → utility), and can own technical execution end-to-end.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and deploy secure smart contracts (Solidity, EVM)
  • Own NFT engineering across the full stack:
  • minting logic, allowlists, multi-phase drops
  • metadata strategies, reveals, tokenURI architecture
  • marketplace compatibility + royalties behavior
  • NFT utility (gating, access, membership, perks, staking/claims)
  • Build and maintain NFT infrastructure and integrations:
  • event indexing, ownership verification, analytics pipelines
  • IPFS / Arweave storage workflows
  • backend services that support NFT apps and experiences
  • Write test suites and enforce reliability standards (Hardhat / Foundry)
  • Support audits, security reviews, and best-practice contract patterns
  • Improve gas efficiency and performance for production deployments
  • Collaborate async with product + engineering to ship clean, scalable solutions
  • Make senior-level technical decisions and deliver with high ownership

Required Experience (NFT Experience Required)

To be successful in this role, you should have most of the following:

  • 6+ years professional software engineering experience (senior-level scope)
  • 3+ years building and deploying smart contracts in production (Solidity / EVM)
  • 2+ years building NFT smart contracts and NFT systems in production (required)
  • Strong experience with NFT standards and patterns:
  • ERC-721 / ERC-1155
  • metadata + tokenURI strategies
  • allowlists / merkle proofs
  • reveal mechanics
  • royalties / ERC-2981 behavior across marketplaces
  • Proven ability to ship on major EVM chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, etc.)
  • Strong engineering fundamentals: architecture, reliability, testing, and clean code
  • Comfortable integrating contracts with apps via ethers.js / viem / wagmi
  • Strong written communication and async collaboration habits

Nice to Have

  • Smart contract audit or security contest experience
  • ERC-6551 (Token Bound Accounts), dynamic NFTs, or advanced NFT utility systems
  • Indexing experience (The Graph, custom pipelines, Alchemy/Moralis, etc.)
  • Open-source contributions in NFT tooling, SDKs, or smart contract libraries

What to Send When You Apply (NFT Experience Required)

Please include 2–3 links that demonstrate real NFT engineering work:

  • Deployed NFT contract links (Etherscan / Basescan / Polygonscan, etc.)
  • GitHub repo / code samples showing NFT smart contracts (ERC-721 / ERC-1155)
  • Live NFT project links you built or supported (mint site, marketplace, utility app)
  • A quick note on what you owned (minting, allowlists, reveal, metadata, royalties, token gating, staking)

Why Join

  • Remote + async-first team with high trust and high ownership
  • Work on real NFT utility and production blockchain systems
  • Move fast with a team that values execution and accountability
  • Build systems that matter — not experiments
