Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines related to Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) in UAE (e.g. UAE FIU and ADGM Rulebook requirements).Â
- Work closely with FCI, Global Sanctions Operation and the local ADGM compliance teams to review, adjudicate and report in a timely manner any suspicious activities that may indicate potential money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and other criminal activities.Â
- Partner with relevant internal stakeholders to strengthen quality of SARs and other external reporting to the UAE FIU, and ensure consistency, accuracy and timelinessÂ
- Ensure that applicable regulatory reporting timeframes as per the UAE FIU reporting requirements are met
- Proficient in compliance applications and programmes, regulatory reporting, local compliance requirements and international best practiceÂ
- Good knowledge on provisions of local laws, directives, regulations and otherwise standards applicable to subject persons, and knowledge of upcoming regulation on virtual currencyÂ
- Participate in internal and external programs related to AML/ CFT and other subjects that may form part of the day to day work requirements
- Action any general administration and ancillary activities as may be required and related to the above functions, in accordance with the business requirements of the Company a local / ADGM regulatory requirementsÂ
- Support the local Compliance Management team with the implementation of new initiatives and improvements related to systems, policies and proceduresÂ
Requirements
- 3 years of compliance experienceÂ
- Strong core SAR writing expertise for 2+ years
- The candidate should have 3 years of FI experience, preferably from the UAE, on AML/transaction monitoring process
- SAR report writing skills
- Sound financial crime compliance knowledge
- Strong knowledge of suspicious activity related regulations and guidelines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and/or Mac equivalent (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynotes)
- Experience with compliance software and tools is a plus
- Professional certifications in compliance or AML (Anti-Money Laundering) are a plus
