Responsibilities
- Design and monitor IP geofencing systems controls that comply with global sanctions regulations (i.e. OFAC, EU, etc.).
- Stay current with evolving global sanctions regulations and adapt our IP geofencing controls accordingly.
- Collaborate with various business lines across the organization to understand IP geofencing needs and improve controls as necessary.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of IP geofencing systems and conduct troubleshooting where necessary.
- Develop, enforce and update protocols and best practices for IP geofencing controls.
- Update applicable policies and procedures to ensure that they are up to date and reflect the current IP geofencing control environment.Â
- Coordinate with legal, risk, product, and operations departments to address detected compliance issues promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct regular training sessions for internal teams about the importance of IP geofencing controls and compliance with sanctions laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in compliance or related areas are preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compliance roles with a strong focus on sanctions and geofencing practices.
- Thorough knowledge of global sanctions laws and regulation, along with an understanding of the impact of these laws on business operations.
- Proficiency in adopting modern technologies in refining and improvising compliance strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
- Outstanding communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively liaise with both internal teams and external regulatory entities.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and their regulatory landscape is a plus.
