Who You Are:
We are seeking a Level I Desktop Support person to support the firm and its users Globally. The role will involve direct as well as remote end user support. In this position you will gain firsthand experience involving technology and security implementations that go beyond a typical financial services organization of this size and be part of a nascent industry with enormous growth possibilities. The position requires daily on-site presence at Galaxy’s offices in Hong Kong.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate closely with the IT Helpdesk team to ensure users receive comprehensive support for their IT needs
- Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for software applications, operating systems, hardware devices, and network connectivity issues
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Document all support interactions and solutions in the helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring accurate and thorough record-keeping
- Update and maintain an inventory of devices
- Deploy Image builds on Windows/Mac Devices
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- At least one technical certificate such as A+, Network+, Microsoft MTA, Cisco, etc, is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills for all IT related issues
- Experience with Windows, MacOS and iOS related items
Bonus Points:
- Experience identifying recurring issues and recommend solutions for process improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical users
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive attitude in all interactions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
