We are looking for a passionate lead with strong technical ability to join us as our Director of Engineering. In this position, you will use your expertise in building scalable and extendable infrastructures to set the standard of engineering excellence at Treehouse. The ideal candidate would have prior experience with big data platforms and building complex database designs.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead efforts in setting strong technical/architectural foundations, implementing good design practices, processes and principles in software development
Design analytics systems with large-scale databases, microservices, and distributed computing technologies
Review current infrastructure design and create proposals to develop and deploy scalable technologies.
Effectively communicate technical structures to the Engineering team to fulfil product requirements.
Plan, manage and execute of technical project plans, ensuring on-time delivery
Facilitate communications with the product managers to manage the execution of technical project plans, ensuring timely delivery.
Planning and conceptualising quality technical requirement documents, clearly define tech resource requirements
Drive improvements and innovation in the engineering team
Skills & Requirements
Strong knowledge of Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Database & Distributed systems and basic Cryptography.
Strong proficiency in Golang, and SQL/no-SQL
10+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture
Experience with cloud based distributed databases solutions and streaming processes
Hands-on infrastructure development experience in large-scaled databases architectures at reputable data firms
Deep understanding and application experience of database management technology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working with remote teams and able to travel to Ho Chi Minh for work trips
