Full-time Developer

Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to help us scrape data and build automations to stay ahead of competitors. 

You’ll work to creatively scrape data quickly so we can get an info edge on the competition.

You’ll automate blockchain transactions across a variety of projects and protocols, through libraries like Ethers. You’ll connect to various trading venues to build pair trading scripts. You’ll build custom alerts to monitor price changes on new Dexes, and much more.

Some examples of recent projects:

• Scraping points farming leaderboards to get data to develop an optimal farming strategy
• Writing a script to automatically play a blockchain game
• Automate a heuristic used to farm points on a new SoFi protocol
• Integrating into CeFi/DeFi exchanges to execute funding arb trades

This is a full-time remote role. It will require at least a 4 hour time zone overlap with Hong Kong hours (7am-6pm UTC+8)

About you

If we could choose 1 word to describe the ideal candidate for this role, it’s “scrappy”. 

You’re a scrappy and creative technical problem solver - great at figuring out creative solutions and implementing them quickly. 

You’ll move quickly - but with careful attention to detail. You enjoy the challenge of working on a variety of projects, using tech to help our trading team grow PnL.

You have:

• 3+ years of experience working in crypto / defi
• Experience building wrappers around web3 tech e.g. using a library like Ethers
• A strong understanding of smart contracts and smart wallets
• Experience using exchange APIs
• Lots of experience with web scraping
• Basic understanding of financial concepts
• Passion for crypto finance

Other requirements:

• You’re fast. Speed and ability to iterate quickly is our biggest priority. We often work on tasks that require a 24 hour turnaround.
• Strong attention to detail 
• Great communicator - you’ll be working directly with our head trader to gather data and build automations so you should be comfortable with lots of back-and-forth and iterations as you build.
• Comfortable iterating and keeping things simple: we’d prefer 80% done in 1 day vs. 100% done in 2 days
• Able to translate high level requirements into technical solutions - you won’t be handheld, you’ll be expected to understand the problem and work on your own to come up with the solution.
• You’re good at smashing obstacles with creative solutions
