Head of Operations

Plasma is a purpose-built blockchain for stablecoin payments. The Role

We are looking for a Head of Operations to be responsible for leading and optimizing the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and excellence across all business functions. This will be an in-person role based predominantly in New York City, and may involve frequent travel to London.

What you will do

• Lead the Internal Operations Function: Partner with Plasma’s General Counsel to oversee and continuously strengthen the internal operations organization. Provide vision, leadership, and structure to ensure the team operates with precision, efficiency, and accountability.

• Drive Operational Strategy & Scalability: Define and execute the operations roadmap covering workflows, KPIs, and budget planning; implement scalable systems that meet organizational growth.

• Lead Financial Oversight: Partner with Plasma's Financial Manager to oversee financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow tracking across crypto and fiat.

• People Operations & Organizational Systems: Ensure smooth execution of people operations, including onboarding, global employment frameworks, compensation, and productivity tooling. Implement and optimize core systems to streamline internal processes and cross-team coordination.

• Foster Team Leadership & Culture: Serve as an early hands-on operator and evolve into a people leader; cultivate a high-performance culture aligned with the Plasma's mission.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

• 7+ years of operations experience, with at least 5 years within crypto, fintech, or financial services.

• Strong understanding of blockchain technology.

• Experience leading operations in regulated or rapidly scaling crypto organizations.

• Knowledge of global compliance frameworks.

• Proven ability to build and lead distributed operations teams across multiple geographies.
