Head of Talent Acquisition

This is a hybrid role (2-3 times per week) in our London office. We are unable to sponsor visas for this role. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Head of Talent Acquisition to lead our small but dedicated talent acquisition team. This pivotal role will play a critical part in shaping the future of our organization by identifying, attracting, and retaining top-tier talent to support MoonPay's continued growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

This is a very hands on role (~60% management / 40% IC work). We’re looking for candidates with a “no task too small” “we win as a team” mentality.

• Supporting and removing roadblocks for the team to ensure their success.
• Lead and manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding for roles at all levels, depending on where the needs are. (C-level to Analyst)
• Collaborate closely with department heads and leadership to understand hiring needs, develop recruitment strategies, and align hiring goals with the company's mission and values.
• Develop and refine recruitment processes and best practices to ensure efficiency, consistency, and a positive candidate experience.
• Manage external recruitment agencies and vendors, if necessary, to support specialized hiring needs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to continuously improve the hiring process and candidate quality.

Qualifications

• Proven in-house experience (8+ years) in both management and senior talent acquisition roles at high-growth startups or technology-focused environments.
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing a team of recruiters and/or sourcers.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with candidates, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and business needs.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align talent acquisition strategies with broader organizational goals.
• Experience with various talent acquisition tools, applicant tracking systems, and data-driven recruitment metrics (WorkDay experience a plus)

While a strong understanding of web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency space isn’t required, a passion for innovation and a genuine interest in learning about the space is.
