The Block Research is looking for a passionate individual to join our Infrastructure engineering team. As an Infrastructure Intern, you will help support and secure The Block’s infrastructure. You will work directly with the Infrastructure team, the Product & Engineering team, and our internal users to improve existing workflows and infrastructure that power the Infrastructure at The Block. The Block’s Infrastructure team works with a range of different technologies and teams, providing for a great learning experience. As a member of a lean team, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the back-end infrastructure of various systems at the company.This role offers competitive compensation and significant opportunities for advancement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in managing various systems such as Confluence, Jira, and Azure
- Create documentation on tech support fixes
- Assist in securing our AWS environment
- Providing technical support to our internal users
- Provisioning new users and deprovisioning departing user
- Support our CI/CD pipeline by creating Terraform scripts
- Help unblock users at the firewall level
Successful Candidates will Likely Have
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- An understanding of basic tasks in Azure and AWS
- Either an IT certification or be enrolled in an IT or Computer Science related major
