Lead Developer/CTO (Cosmwasm)

Your day to day…

As an early team member at EclipseFi you will be a critical part of the business and have a huge influence over the culture and technical leadership of the company. 

You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to drive the development and implementation of our DeFi products. You will attract and lead a team of talented engineers, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to design, build, and maintain scalable and secure products. Please note - This is a hands-on leadership role, we are looking for someone who enjoys digging into the code and supporting their team where needed. 

Your focus… 

• Own the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives by working closely with our Product Manager to ensure continuity on vision and delivery. 
• Design the architecture, scalability and implementation of the EclipseFi products. 
• Lead the design, development and deployment of technical solutions, including the launch of new products.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, including peer reviews. 
• Establish and enforce best practice development and deployment methodologies, coding standards, and QA processes to deliver robust and reliable solutions.
• Oversee security and privacy, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and security, to ensure the successful delivery and maintenance of EclipseFi’s technology.
• Evaluate the strategic vision and recommend technological solutions to ensure EclipseFi’s leadership in the industry.

Your background…

• Proven experience as a CTO or Lead Developer on an early stage Crypto project.
• Strong technical architecture with deep DeFi knowledge/experience.
• Understanding of cross-chain architecture and Cosmos IBC.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in our ecosystem programming languages, such as Cosmwasm Rust, and Solidity (nice to have).
• Strong expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with DevOps & SRE best practices, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with infrastructure cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing distributed systems.
• Track record of successfully delivering complex technological solutions, on time and within budget, utilising appropriate tools where required. 
• Ability to lead a distributed team in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Strong initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
