Kleros is a tight-knit team, supported by a large community, that works together to democratize access to justice using cutting edge technologies. We are deeply integrated with the Ethereum ecosystem, but our mission transcends it.Our core is a blockchain-based decentralized protocol that crowdsources arbitration.

Who Are We Looking For?
Weâre proud to have created an environment where everyone feels safe speaking their minds, and everyone is heard and considered. Collective thinking is the best way for everyone to succeed. We place a lot of trust in each other, and we have flexible work schedules. You are welcome to relocate to work out of the Lisbonâs office, but almost all of our team works remotely.Ultimately, this means we look for exceptional people who will share our vision. We compensate them competitively and ensure they are motivated to succeed and grow together.Â
Kleros (see our whitepaper https://kleros.io/assets/whitepaper.pdf) is a blockchain protocol for online dispute resolution. Projects using Kleros need to have policies explaining the rules of their platforms and serving as sources of law for Kleros jurors. Kleros courts also need to have policies specifying how they are to be used and protecting jurors.
As a policy writer, you will be creating clear, concise and comprehensive policy documents.
What Will You Do?
- Write policy documents of Kleros courts.
- Write primary documents (shown to jurors when there is a dispute) for projects using Kleros. We will use a two sections technique where the first section gives a concise explanation of the rules while the second gives a comprehensive explanation focusing on details, edge cases and modes of proof.
- Work with users and jurors in order to clarify policies, fix loopholes, and respond to new kinds of threats.
- Work on user acceptance of policies and resulting Kleros rulings.
Applicants should have experience working with systems of rules. This can be fulfilled by:
- A law degree.
- A political experience including the drafting of laws (ex: MP, parliamentary assistant, shadow government member).
- A board game designer experience.
- An extensive experience as a Kleros juror or challenger.
- An extensive experience in a competitive intellectual sport either as a competitive player or as a judge (ex: Magic The Gathering judge).
Perks
- Most of the compensation (2/3) is labelled in fiat and paid in crypto.
- The remaining (1/3) is labelled in PNK vested over 3 years with a 1 year cliff ensuring you get a stake in the project.
- We are a cooperative, so as a worker you own part of the company and get voting rights.
Want to Apply?
Just answer the questions below. For question 2, you can look at any application using Kleros and find its rule document to be shown to the jurors. If you are familiar with Kleros this is very straightforward and should take only 1 minute, but if you are not, you may need to do a bit of digging
