Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of public relations and have a proven ability to craft compelling messages for formal media outlets. This role will be crucial in shaping our company’s public image, building strong media relationships, and ensuring effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance Scroll’s visibility and reputation in the Web3 and blockchain sectors.
• Craft and deploy high-quality press releases, media statements, and other written materials for distribution to formal media outlets.
• Directly managing our PR agency and acting as liaison between the agency and ourselves.
• Bias for action in applying/scheduling opportunities for our spokespeople
• Establish and maintain relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and thought leaders.
• Monitor industry trends and news to identify opportunities for media coverage and proactive outreach.
• Coordinate and manage media events, interviews, and press briefings to promote company initiatives and achievements; manage crisis management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align PR efforts with overall company goals and messaging.
• Track and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and media coverage to continually refine strategies.

Qualifications:

• Good track record & references
• Web2 journalist that has worked in tech journalism
• Proven experience in public relations, ideally within the technology or blockchain industry.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a track record of producing content for formal media outlets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain media relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for the Web3 and blockchain space.
