Job Responsibilities:
- Support Binance’s regional efforts in strategizing, analyzing, and obtaining and maintaining necessary local regulatory approvals and licenses across the MENA region.
- Develop and implement the company’s strategic regulatory approach specific to MENA jurisdictions.
- Provide legal and regulatory support to business teams for the launch and growth of new products and services, balancing commercial objectives with regulatory compliance.
- Draft, improve and maintain local terms of service and product terms for locally licensed entities.
- Support the day-to-day operations of local entities in respect of marketing initiatives, product launches and new partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and government agencies across MENA.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and trends in the cryptocurrency and financial sectors within the MENA region, ensuring Binance’s compliance and proactive adaptation.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years post-qualification experience with a strong background in financial services regulation.
- Experience from a reputable law firm and/or relevant in-house legal roles, ideally with exposure to the MENA regulatory environment.
- Deep understanding of financial products including spot trading, margin trading, futures, options, and payment systems (FIAT channels, PSPs, wallets, etc.).
- Strong interest and knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and its regulatory landscape in MENA.
- Proven track record of managing regulatory approvals and compliance in complex, fast-evolving markets.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to provide practical, actionable legal advice in a dynamic and complex regulatory environment.
- Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and shaping strategic company decisions.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage but not required.
