Role: Blockchain Engineer

You’ll join the core product team to design and build smart contracts and backend infrastructure powering new types of financial instruments. Expect to work on fast feedback loops, performance-critical code, and backend systems that abstract complexity for users while enabling novel market behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

• Build smart contracts for DeFi systems related to perpetuals, options, or order books
• Develop robust, high-performance backend services (Rust, Java preferred)
• Architect scalable systems and secure infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and research teams

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend experience using Rust, Java, or similar modern languages
• Proven track record in DeFi protocols, ideally involving live contracts and real users
• Strong understanding of database systems and distributed infrastructure
• Startup mindset: self-directed, ownership-driven, and willing to push boundaries
• Clear communicator and effective collaborator

Bonus Points

• Deep knowledge of Solidity and smart contract tooling (Foundry, Slither)
• Parallelization expertise (e.g. optimistic concurrency, pipelining)
• Experience designing production APIs
• Familiarity with cloud systems (especially AWS)
• Contributions to open source or crypto projects
