Senior Finance Manager - Poland (12 Month Contract)

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial and company records, in accordance with local and company requirements
• Preparation of monthly management accounts for Poland and various entities in the EU
• Handle all month-end process (journal preparation including accruals and prepayments)
• Balance sheet reconciliations (inter-company balances, bank, fixed assets)
• Processing AR/AP and updating of ledgers
• Preparation of VAT and tax returns
• Assist with the preparation of financial information and other documentation for audit
• Support the EU Finance team with high-level projects
• Regulatory reporting
• Document and improve processes and internal financial controls
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Senior Accountant with 5-8+ years of experience, ideally beginning in audit, accounting, or tax within a large or mid-tier accounting practice, followed by experience within the fintech sector, ideally within the crypto industry
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Proficiency in global accounting standards (IFRS and PL GAAP) and Polish Tax and Legal aspects
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance
• Accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
• Netsuite experience would be an asset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
• Well organized, careful and patient, high attention to detail
• Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Strong and collaborative communicator
