Senior Product Manager - Fincrime

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be helping to build the products and tools that enable Bitstamp to mitigate financial crime while also ensuring positive customer experience. You will work closely with engineering, operations, compliance and data teams to define, design and roll out mitigation strategies that balance effective controls with user experience. You will be helping to build scalable and balanced AML and Fraud control products that can identify suspected activity, quantify the risk, determine the right course of action, and share learnings for continuous improvement.

You will be working with an international group of like-minded people who are passionate about driving growth and development of Bitstamp and its people.

What you’ll be doing:

• Defining a product vision and strategy for detecting and mitigating financial crime, and systematically building towards this in conjunction with our fincrime teams.
• Setting, communicating and justifying a roadmap that balances short term needs with building towards your vision.

• Understanding how financial crime occurs on our platform, defining areas of strength and weakness in our current approach, and identifying relevant KPIs and metrics for which to track progress.
• Staying on top of new product lines and updates, ensuring our fincrime strategy is represented in the product and operational design and roll out.
• Collaborating with a wide set of stakeholders and third-party providers to define, design, release and measure products.

• 4+ years of experience in product management, with direct experience in an AML, fraud or risk facing role.
• You have worked on products such as rules platforms, monitoring systems, case management tools – and used to data to improve and transform them.
• Excellent data analytics skills – ability to extract, manipulate and make sense of a disparate set of data points and indicators.
• You are on top of the latest trends, challenges and solutions in financial crime, and can demonstrate an adaptable and fast-moving approach to tackling emerging risks.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex, ambiguous problems.
• Ability to work across multiple stakeholder departments across all levels, presenting trade offs and framing decisions – backed up by strong research and analytics.

• Bonus items: Crypto industry experience and experience building products from 0 to 1
